Minato Rd Masterplan
Client: ERIF Sustainable Solutions
Location: Ucluelet, BC
Experience: Completed as Partner and Project Architect at Banks Architecture & Permitting
This project represents the start of a partnership with IGV Housing, with the goal of providing high-quality attainable housing via an innovative modular construction approach, using a combination of volumetric and flat-packed strategies. The project consists of 48 small Apartments and 11 luxury waterfront homes. Upon completion, the project will significantly expand the town of Ucluelet.
Artigiano Coffee Shop Franchise
Client: Artigiano Head Office
Location: Multiple BC Locations
Experience: Completed as Partner and Project Architect at Banks Architecture & Permitting
Banks and Artigiano have developed a strong relationship and are positioned to deliver all new locations in Canada as the franchise grows. Banks is responsible for multiple ongoing Tenant Improvements, including two on Translink properties, as well as numerous patio and liquor license applications for existing locations.

Park Ave Townhouse Development
Client: Petroglyph
Location: Nanaimo, BC
Experience: Completed as Project Architect at Human Studio
Jamie worked closely with stakeholders to deliver a project that received unanimous consent at public hearing, and navigated stream protections, access challenges, and budget constraints to successfully deliver a 32 unit, 1-3 story market townhouse development to a development permit ready package. The project is proposed as light wood frame with concrete parkade.
Seaspan
Client: Seaspan Vancouver Shipyards
Location: North Vancouver, BC
Experience: Completed as Project Architect at Human Studio
Jamie maintained a strong relationship with Seaspan staff, delivering 6 projects over 7 years of collaboration. These projects included office renovations, industrial processes and highly technical marine and military installations, an innovative welders training school, sustainability and environmental update report, and masterplan visioning of the campus.
Lax Kw’alaams Housing
Client: Lax Kw’alaams Band
Location: Prince Rupert, BC
Experience: Completed as Co-Project Architect at Human Studio in partnership with MGA.
Jamie worked to overcome significant site challenges in order to provide much needed rental suites for members of Lax Kw’alaams . This project includes 70 rental units within a 6-storey light wood construction building, including temporary suites for pregnancy residencies and cultural gathering space facilitating funerals.
Rosewood Masterplan
Client: BC Housing
Location: Richmond, BC
Experience: Completed as Project Architect at Human Studio
Jamie worked alongside the project principal to form a trusting relationship with BC Housing and existing tenants to develop a unique resilient tenant-first planning and architectural solutions to 850 units across 8 buildings, varying from 6-12 stories utilizing Mass Timber, Concrete, and light wood frame construction. Upon completion, this project will redefine the Blundell centre and surrounding community.
